While the live-action Transformers films have had their fair share of successes and failures since the first film was released in 2007, Rise of the Beasts seems to be following Bumblebee’s path to success by giving Transformer fans what they’ve always wanted: traditional Transformers.

There are additional glimpses of the conflicts we’ve seen so far, including more of Unicron, in the final trailer for the film, which will be released in theatres on June 9. We were harsh in our own assessment.

There’s also a lot more chaos and machine-on-machine warfare, as well as Maximus Prime (Ron Perlman) fighting Scorpinok. In Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, viewers will travel back in time to the 1990s with the Autobots and meet an entirely new band of Transformers, the Maximals, who will become allies in the ongoing struggle for Earth.

Starring Peter Cullen (the voice of Optimus Prime), Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh (Airazor), Pete Davidson (Mirage), Peter Dinklage (Scorch), and Colman Domingo (Unicron) from “Fear the Walking Dead,” and directed by Steven Caple Jr., the film also features Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback.
