Fusion of Souls and Metroidvania gameplay At the Future Game Show Summer Showcase, the Samurai Spirit was finally unmasked. The processing power came from Intel.
The stylish and brutal 2D action-adventure video game will debut next year for the PC and Atari VCS, featuring stop-motion design animation throughout the gameplay and high-end CGI cinematics.

Taking place in feudal Japan, you can choose to play as one of three characters: the samurai Takeshi, the spirit Kodama, or the cat Chisai. There are different game elements to learn for each character, so you’ll have to adapt your approach on the fly based on the situation.
You’ll fight enemies and uncover secrets as you explore vast underground areas, caves, dungeons, and everything in between in Samurai.
Prepare to face off against an oni who personifies evil, an army of well-known animals known as tengus, the undead, and a type of yokai known as Jorgumo, which shapeshifts between the types of a spider and a stunning lady, on your journey to discover who you truly are.
