On the evening before The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is officially introduced, Nintendo will host a pre-launch webcast.

This celebration will usher in the midnight release of Tears of the Kingdom at the New York City Nintendo store. Tears of the Kingdom gameplay footage will be included over its four sections. That is all that was required of Nintendo about the Treehouse broadcast.

Designer interviews are also commonly associated with Nintendo’s Treehouse events, however whether or not any such interviews will be a part of this event is yet unknown.

If you preorder Tears of the Kingdom on the eShop, you may start playing on May 11 at 9 PM PT / 12 AM ET, a full day before the game’s official release date of May 12.

Tears of the Kingdom has high quality and commercial success expectations. The last game, Breath of the Wild, was critically acclaimed (10/10 from GameSpot), and it sold over 29 million units, so the bar is set very high for the sequel.
