We regret to inform you that development of the Restored Content DLC for the Nintendo Switch version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords has been halted, as revealed by Aspyr in a statement on Twitter.
Aspyr is trying to do the right thing by fans by offering a free copy of the game on Switch to anyone who purchased it before this announcement was made. All of the Star Wars games (Knights of the Old Republic, The Force Unleashed, Republic Commando, Episode 1 Racer, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and Jedi Outcast) are yours to keep. You may also get Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II on Steam, if you like.
Visit support.aspyr.com, submit a request, and include proof of purchase for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II to receive your game key.
The Restored Content downloadable content was a fan-made addition to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II that patched many bugs and added some previously cut content. Aspyr Media announced their official support for it in 2015.
The original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic video game was being remade by Aspyr. An internal presentation in August 2022 reportedly left Lucasfilm and Sony unsatisfied, halting progress for a while. Now, though, Sabre Interactive is being credited with advancement instead of Aspyr.
