Sony avoids Gamescom

Since 2019, PlayStation hasn’t even bothered showing up at the convention.
Sony has decided not to attend Gamescom 2018.
According to VGC, the company announced it would not be present at the convention, as reported by the German journal GamesMarkt.
The article recalls that Sony’s final involvement was in 2019, before the COVID-19 epidemic began.
On the evening of August 22, 2023, Geoff Keighley, host of the Summer Game Fest, will host and produce the opening night of Gamescom 2023.
While Sony has decided not to attend this year’s event, Nintendo has confirmed that it will be there.
The dates for Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, are August 23rd through the 27th.
