Remaster of ARK: Survival Evolved postponed till October
A little later however likewise a little more affordable
Studio Wildcard announced the delay of the planned remaster of ARK: Survival Evolved on their community site. The new release date is October. The remastered version, formerly known as ARK: Survival Ascended, is powered by Unreal Engine 5.2 and features full cross-platform support.
Fans of ARK are used to delays; the highly anticipated sequel ARK II was delayed just a few months ago, for example.
While delays are infuriating, the good news is that things are looking up. The initial purchase price of ARK: Survival Ascended has been reduced. Early Access for the open-world survival video game has been set at a price of $44.99. With the initial launch discount, the price drops to $39.99, saving you $5.
Material forARK: Survival Ascended postponed too
The delay affected more than just the release of the enhanced video game. The original plan for ARK: Survival Ascended’s content rollout was to mirror that of the first game. The Island and the Scorched Earth maps were originally planned to be available at launch.[19659008]Launching alongside ARK: Survival Ascended is The Island. The distributed Scorched Earth content releases. Scorched Earth will now be released in December, while Ragnarok and Aberration will debut in the first quarter of 2024. After then, we’ll keep releasing whatever downloadable content and maps are left.
Fan aggravations continue
As frustrating as this is, it’s not the first time this has happened. The original price of the ARK: Survival Evolved remaster bundle included ARK II. Studio Wildcard changed direction and split the two video games after hearing from frustrated fans.
Some supporters remain unsatisfied despite the adjustment. Many people were under the impression that upgrading to the Unreal Engine 5 version of the game was free, but they will now have to pay AAA prices. The initial release of ARK: Survival Evolved cost $29.99, so it’s easy to see why some are upset about the price increase.
Two pricing reductions from $60 to $50 and another from $50 to $40 suggest that this strategy may be worthwhile. Who knows, maybe if the delays keep happening, the fans will finally receive the free update they’ve been hoping for.
The new release date for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PC versions of ARK: Survival Ascended is October.
