Luck Be A Landlord, the special slots-based roguelike deckbuilder, opens iOS pre-orders
Luck Be A Landlord, an interesting and humorous roguelike deckbuilder that was published on Steam quite some time ago, is now available for pre-order on iOS! In this unique slots simulator, you compete not only against your evil landlord but also against the forces of industrialization itself in an effort to win.
Using the Luck board game It’s a piece of cake to Be A Landlord. No, no, there is no microtransactions or real money betting going on here. You insert one penny into the slot machine and it randomly rolls a wide range of icons, each of which can lead to a different outcome.

Since this is a deckbuilder, there are a wide variety of omens to discover, each with their own effects in the game. Some may award you with a lot of coins immediately, while others may raise the odds that a certain icon will appear on your slots pulls, and yet others may affect the odds that icons of a higher rarity will appear. It puts a unique spin on the roguelike deckbuilding technique, if you’ll excuse the pun, and helps the game stand out from others in the genre, such as Slay the Spire and Monster Train.
Additionally, I feel the need to explain; while there is a story facility, there is very little plot to this video game. You shouldn’t expect spectacular visuals or crazy plot twists because it’s a cheap, little indie video game. There aren’t many more mechanics to speak of, so this is deckbuilding at its purest. If that puts you off, at the very least give it a try; the fundamentals of how fruit machines work are highly addicting.
Pre-ordering Luck Be A Landlord (at just $4.99!) grants you access to one of the most original deck home construction roguelikes available today.
