While video games haven’t always done a great job of reflecting transgender people, the industry has made some steps in this direction in recent years. As transphobia, anti-trans legislation and violence, and vocal anti-trans advocates rise, this is increasingly at odds with the real world. Although transgender portrayal has come a long way, it still often perpetuates stereotypes, common misconceptions, and misinformation.
