despite reports to the contrary.
Insomniac has actually refuted rising rumours that the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will have co-op, reiterating that it is instead a “legendary single-player experience”.
After fans discovered comments made by Miles Morales voice actor Nadji Jeter in September, certain sites began speculating about probable co-op help in Spider-Man 2 earlier today. During a Q&A session at SacAnime Summer 2022, Jeter was asked if Spider-Man 2 will have co-op, to which he said, “I don’t know if it’s been revealed or not, but I believe so.”
Spider-Man 2 has been the subject of co-op rumours ever since Insomniac stated that both Peter Parker and Miles Morales would have prominent roles in the sequel. However, the company has finally put an end to the rumours. When a fan tweeted to inquire if co-op was planned, it politely replied, “Nope! The single-player experience is renowned!”

Beyond the fact that Tony Todd will reprise his role as Venom in Spider-Man 2, which is currently scheduled for a “fall 2023” release, we still don’t know much about the sequel. Todd restricted that release date to September earlier this year, probably without major permission, but Insomniac has remained mum about pretty much everything.
All of that might be about to change, though; Sony is hosting a one-hour PlayStation Showcase on May 24 at 9 p.m. BST, which seems like the perfect opportunity to finally reveal Spider-Man 2 in advance of its fall release.
