Businesses have become more active in recognising special months, such as Pride, which takes place in June in the United States, as the video games industry has made more attempts to be diverse and inclusive.
An ongoing list of initiatives that assist, promote, and acknowledge LGBTQIA+ designers and customers has been compiled by GamesIndustry.biz.

Blizzard Entertainment:
For the first time ever, Overwatch 2 will celebrate Pride Month. After logging into the shooter, users will receive symbols and name cards recognising the LGBTQIA+ characters. The company also released a story featuring its protagonists who are of different genders.
Customers can also purchase merchandise with a Pride theme; the proceeds will benefit the National Centre for Transgender Equality.
“With our very first Overwatch 2 Pride event, we knew that we wanted to commemorate the variety that makes the world worth defending,” the company said. Simply said, Pride in Overwatch 2 has just begun. We’ll have more to reveal as the much deeper tradition of the Overwatch universe develops over the upcoming seasons and years.
Crystal Dynamics:
In fact, Crystal Dynamics has made public the details of their Pride Month activities this year.
The video game firm will undertake a month-long fundraising campaign for the It Gets Better Project as part of its activities.
It will feature a panel discussion with many LGBTQIA+ studio personnel on June 28. They will celebrate the LGBTQIA+ characters they think are best represented in video games. The club will also offer career advice to those looking to enter the video game industry.
Rock M. Sakura, a competitor on RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Crystal Dynamics will collaborate on June 30. Her charity stream will benefit the It Gets Better Project.
Darkpaw Games
This year, Darkpaw Games is celebrating Pride with fresh Everquest 2 content. Users can also obtain the free familiars with monthly themes from the market.

Iron Galaxy:
Throughout Pride Month, Iron Galaxy, a games studio, will sponsor a number of initiatives.

Sega:
The Kaleidoscope Trust will be the beneficiary of a charity fundraising event held by Sonic publisher Sega and Sega Pride from June 22 to June 30.
The charity event will feature many banners and be streamed on its main Twitch channel.
Additionally, Kaleidoscope employees will be included in the streams to answer questions about their jobs and talk about the value of the organisation. Sega will also use social media to spread the word about the charity event.
Sybo:
In fact, Sybo’s Subway Surfers has unveiled its largest Pride Month promotion to date.
It Gets Better Project, Copenhagen Pride, Gay Gaming Pros, and other organisations are partners with the company.
It will also include LGBTQIA+ players from the global Subway Surfers community in-game contacts and social media posts.

Twitch, a streaming service, will once again display a variety of LGBTQIA+ banners throughout the month.

Ustwo Games:
