Miles Jacobson, the head of the Football Manager studio, has responded to PlayStation boss Jim Ryan’s claim that Xbox’s Game Pass is “worth harmful” to PC gaming.
The comment by Ryan was made throughout the lengthy Microsoft vs. FTC hearing.
The Sports Interactive designer told Eurogamer that different studios’ opinions on the topic are based on a variety of variables.
Different studios will have different data because different games perform best in different environments. We’ve had nothing except positive experiences across all three channels,” he said.
Jacbonson added that the Football Manager developer has come out ahead thanks to subscription services like Game Pass. The developer said earlier today that the game now has 5 million players, thanks to the expansion of its platform availability.
The studio head said, “Every studio needs to make its own choices, but I do not acknowledge some quotes from other studios and depositions.” I don’t think that’s the case with us. Everything looks promising for us.
