Diablo 4 Renown Explained
The Sanctuary in Diablo 4 is an open world that spans five distinct zones. Those regions are Scosglen, Hawezar, Kehjistan, Hawezar, and the Dry Steppes. Each of these locations in Diablo 4 has its own Renown and benefit path, and you’ll find yourself exploring them as you go through the game. What you earn for gaining Renown can be shown below.
How to make Renown
In each field, you can gain notoriety in one of six ways that award varying numbers of points. You get 5 points for finding new areas, 10 for finding Altars of Lilith, and 20 for activating Waypoints. You can gain notoriety in other ways besides going on an expedition. You get 20 points for completing a side quest, 30 for a dungeon, and 100 for a stronghold. The particular kind of each activity varies from place to region, with the exception of the Strongholds (of which there are 3 in each area), however the dungarees are noted in the renown menu. You may claim your rewards at the end of each tier through the map menu, which is also where you access the Renown menu.
The area rewards
There are five tiers of rewards for completing each zone: one reward of perk XP and gold for the specific character you completed it with, and four rewards that apply to all of your characters on that server. Once you have completed the project and reached the required level, you will unlock World Tier 3, and only then will you be able to claim rewards from Tiers 4 and 5.
The benefits
- Tier 1 – Bonus XP, 3,000 Gold, and 1 Skill Point
- Tier 2 – Bonus XP, 10,000 Gold, and 1 Potion Charge
- Tier 3 – Bonus XP, 25,000 Gold, and 1 Skill Point
- Tier 4 – Bonus XP, 60,000 Gold, and 80 Max Obols
- Tier 5 – Bonus XP, 150,000 Gold, and 4 Paragon Points
All five aspects of life will reap the same rewards. From the Renown menu, you can see how many of each task you’ve completed, as well as how many more points you need to advance to the next tier, giving you the option to focus on gaining those advantages if you so choose.
