Bugsnax, the PS5 launch title from a couple of years back, will launch for iOS later on this year
Originally a PS5 launch title that found its way to various platforms, the offbeat adventure/puzzle game Bugsnax has now confirmed that it will be coming to mobile later this year. Your adventure in this sweet, kid-friendly video game begins on a beautiful island populated by creatures that seem like a cross between bugs and candy.
Since its first release, Bugsnax has been met with very low expectations, with most players seeing it as little more than a cute indie experience. Bugsnax got its feet once it was released, and players immediately realised that it was a charming diversion set in a funny and welcoming universe. There was a lot to like about this one, from the great people to whom you start to care a little, to the funny and endearing tiny creatures with which you may strike up conversations.
However, not many people were able to enjoy Bugsnax in its full glory due to the difficulties in obtaining a PS5 at the time. Spending $400-$500 for a video game machine isn’t a casual errand even in the present day. Young Horses, the creator of the video game Bugsnax, is working on a portable version of the game for people who don’t have access to a home gaming system.
An impressive mobile adaptation may seem unlikely for a game designed with the successful PS5 in mind, but the game is now undergoing a complete overhaul to provide a fluid and visually stunning experience regardless of platform. Without a certain, the controls will be revamped, and I’d wager that gamepad support will be included as well, so don’t expect a shoddy port here.
You’ll love Bugsnax if you’re seeking for a casual video game with charming protagonists and endearing visuals. Come Summer, when it launches on iOS, you may judge for yourself.
