After 7 years, Pokémon Go lastly providing gamers a Master Ball

The infamous Master Ball from the franchise, which comes with a 100 percent guarantee to catch any Pokémon, is finally available to players in Pokémon Go.

Players of the mainline Pokémon video games typically hold these sought-after items for the rarest of species. What you use your Master Ball for in Pokémon Go depends on you.

Players of Pokémon Go will receive a Master Ball as part of this season’s ongoing story adventure, which will conclude on May 22 at 10am local time.

The tale quest and development for each player’s first Master Ball must be declared by the end of the season (1st June), at which point the season will be over.

Designer Niantic wrote today, “Receiving an unusual and effective Master Ball is a unique event. Believe wisely about how you’ll use it, and keep an eye out for future opportunities in Pokémon GO to get more!”

What should you use it for? The Galarian Legendary birds, which you can currently encounter (rarely) while using the Daily Adventure Incense product, may entice many players. This trio of legendary creatures first appeared in Pokémon Sword and Shield and serve as a prize for using Pokémon Go’s 15-minute daily workout tool. They are, however, quite challenging to acquire. The Master Ball would be of great help.

After making changes to the app’s Remote Raiding feature to incorporate a daily cap and raise the cost of each Raid Pass, Niantic recently notified Eurogamer that it has a “hit slate” of brand-new features planned to appear in Pokémon Go this summer. What else could be in the store?
