money-raising for Doctors Without Borders.
Consider this your last-minute reminder that this weekend’s Summer Games Done Quick will return with another seven days of charity speedrunning action.
Things begin on Sunday, May 28, at 5.30 pm BST for a little pre-show preamble. A half-hour later, the main speedrunning event begins with AlphaDolphin’s Any% run of Sonic Frontiers. From there, events continue over the following week until Sunday, June 4, at roughly 9.25 am, when operations are finished.
As usual, Summer Games Done Quick’s comprehensive speedrunning programme is a varied one, spanning triple-A hits, indie favourites, and vintage video games from the past. Expect to see games like Elden Ring and Hi-Fi Rush alongside titles like Disney’s 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue, Peggle Deluxe, and Amnesia: Rebirth this time around.

The Hilton Minneapolis will host an in-person portion of Summer Seasons Games Done Quick 2023, which is raising money for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières. However, those unable to attend in person will be able to watch the entire event unfold through a livestream on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel.
While Awesome Games Done Quick, the organization’s first charity speedrunning event of 2023, raised $2.6 million (almost 2.1 million) for the Prevent Cancer Foundation in January, the Summer Games Done Quick event in 2015 raised $3 million USD (about 2.5 million) for Doctors Without Borders.
